Terms of Service

The short version

We give software away. You can use it, host it and modify it under its open source license. If you use our cloud, you pay only the infrastructure it consumes, at cost. Do not use any of it to break the law or to hurt people. That is most of it — the rest is the same idea with more detail.

Who we are

Zerosoft ("we", "us") operates zerosoft.ai and the hosted versions of our products: Link, and — once released — Track, CRM and Cal. You can reach us at any time at hola@zerosoft.ai.

The software and its license

All Zerosoft products are open source. Each repository ships with its license (MIT or AGPL, as indicated in the repository itself). Your rights to download, run, modify and redistribute the code come from that license, not from these terms.

These terms do not restrict the license in any way, and the license does not grant you any rights over our hosted service, our domains or our brand.

The hosted cloud

If you create an account, we run the software for you. You pay exactly the infrastructure your usage consumes — compute, storage, bandwidth — plus taxes where applicable. Our margin on infrastructure is 0%. This is the whole business model: we sell convenience, never software.

We publish how the cost is calculated, and if the cloud gets cheaper, your bill gets cheaper.

Accounts

You sign in with Google OAuth. We never see or store your password. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your API keys secret. One account per human; bots are welcome through the API only.

Acceptable use

We may suspend accounts that break these rules. Where possible, we will warn you first and give you the chance to export your data.

• No illegal content or activity, under any jurisdiction that applies to you or to us.
• No spam, no phishing, and no using short links to disguise malicious destinations.
• No attacks on the service: probing, scraping at abusive rates, or attempts to access other people's data.
• No reselling access to the hosted service as if it were your own product.

Your data

Your content — links, analytics, contacts, events — is yours. You can export it at any time while your account is active, and for 30 days after you close it. We do not claim ownership over it, and we do not use it for anything except providing the service.

Payment and cancellation

The cloud is billed at cost, monthly in arrears, with no lock-in. Cancel whenever you want: the service runs until the end of the paid period, and your data stays exportable for 30 days after that.

Unpaid invoices, after notice, may suspend the account — never delete it without warning.

Service levels

The software is provided "as is" and the cloud "as available". We target high availability and publish our status at /status, but we do not promise uninterrupted service.

For a product whose price is zero, our warranty is simple: we will do our honest best, and you can always take the code and leave.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zerosoft is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages — lost profits, lost data, lost business — arising from the use or inability to use the software or the cloud.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim — which, for the software itself, is and will always be zero.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will post the new version here with its date and, for material changes, notify account holders by email at least 15 days in advance. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms. The software's license never changes retroactively.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Uruguay, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the courts of Montevideo, Uruguay, unless mandatory consumer law gives you a better forum.
